Almost every web application we build involves keeping track of many peoples’ contact information. This information is pretty generic across all these applications — a first name, a last name, a street address. Phone numbers and emails. All the usuals. However that contact information is rarely used in isolation, and usually we want that to be associated with some other, more application specific entity, such as an “applicant”, “customer” or “vendor”, which contains more, application specific information.
